I am working online from last 6+ years and seen lots of people giving-up after 6 month and few left after one year because they were not satisfied with earnings. But I never look back and kept reading top webmaster forums like digitalpoint, warrior etc and learned many new method from other users. Online money making is not so hard once you have understood all fundamentals but patience is necessary to generate some good income.

I realize you’re writing for online marketers who generally don’t have a bricks and mortar business, but this works even better for local businesses. If you run a mostly-local business, you don’t have to try to rank for the main keyword. Start by ranking for the LOCAL version. So for example, trying to rank for “pianos” could be tough, but “vancouver pianos” could be very quick and effective.

All the scams and other dodgy advert about making money online “easily” definitely gave me at the beginning the feeling that I would succeed without too much effort, now some years later I know that without regular hard work there is stricly no chance for me to make money online as a living.

I have noticed that if promised is not delivered than newbies just start posting rubbish things about products online and never care about seller image . If anything is not delivered according to promises but the seller is well known than newbies must learn to relax and start a easy conversation with seller and let them know what is wrong . By this they will gain a good experienced friend and maybe if seller like the way to work than they may select you to test their upcoming projects free of cost for good reviews .

Your question poses a variety of thoughts and actions. From the standpoint of being a little more experienced I think there would be different ways to handle the situation. With experience I think you would constantly be trying to contact the person and trying to find out what is going on. You might think about getting on forums and talking to other marketers you might know to make them aware of the situation and see if you could get some advice. Maybe they might be able to put some pressure on the individual and get them to act. I think in this business your reputation is very important and to know others are aware of what you are doing will eventually cost you business.

The second part of your questions for me would not be as hard as I cannot see me putting myself in a situation like that. I would want to only do that with someone I was very much in tune with and we had been working together for a long time. That one would be hard to deal with.

I guess these are the times when you find out if you really want to be in this business. For anyone, me included, who came into this business thinking you would be an overnight success, the reality is that it will take time. Question is do you have the will to hang in there and see it through because it is very easy to jump off and go on to try something else. This is a good piece for thinking about what you want to do. Can you work a little harder to see it through.

Hey Joel, It sure is time to step it up. The past year has been difficult for many businesses and it’s time to re-evaluate your goals and in some cases come up with new goals. Personally I think I get stuck in the information wheel as I like to call it. Learn something try it for awhile, learn something new then shift focus on a new project without giving the first one enough time to see results.

Your post has great tips on how to succeed in any venture if we take the time and stay focused on “the plan”

I used to rely on affiliate marketing to make money but that’s not very good job security if you have to rely on others to pay you.
