Hi Joel,

This is a great post everyone is always looking for that golden nugget that will fill there bank account with money but as we know there is someone that has to put their credit card details into a PC for you to earn money.

People need to be able to trust you these days to make money online and to always be offering them value for free e.g. Blogging.

A mentor is a great way of knowing what to do online as they have been there but the mentor must be a good teacher too

Yes, it’s easy to lose focus when you check your inbox and find it full of bright shiny new gadgets everyday.

You need to decide on a framework for your business project and keep yourself on track till you get each project finished.

The very simplest basics are: a product, a way to sell the product, someone to sell the product to!

Many thanks for your post on understanding the basics of internet marketing. I am new to this whole internet marketing deal and have not been able to get my blog to attract any traffic at all. I need all the help I can find on this subject.

Also, I have no budget to pay for the high priced courses I see online at this time. So until I earn some money I must stick with free sources of information.

Hey Joel, this is a great post as I think most Internet Marketers (me included) go through exactly what you’re saying when first starting out. The sad thing is that most will quit just before the pieces start coming together. I agree that learning the basics is so important but we overlook that and jump right in hoping to make fast money. This is a business like any other and unless you know the basics it’s difficult to move on to the next level. I’ve learned the hard way but eventually came back to the basics and started to apply what I learned – that’s when I saw all the pieces come together.
