Your question poses a variety of thoughts and actions. From the standpoint of being a little more experienced I think there would be different ways to handle the situation. With experience I think you would constantly be trying to contact the person and trying to find out what is going on. You might think about getting on forums and talking to other marketers you might know to make them aware of the situation and see if you could get some advice. Maybe they might be able to put some pressure on the individual and get them to act. I think in this business your reputation is very important and to know others are aware of what you are doing will eventually cost you business.

The second part of your questions for me would not be as hard as I cannot see me putting myself in a situation like that. I would want to only do that with someone I was very much in tune with and we had been working together for a long time. That one would be hard to deal with.

I have noticed that if promised is not delivered than newbies just start posting rubbish things about products online and never care about seller image . If anything is not delivered according to promises but the seller is well known than newbies must learn to relax and start a easy conversation with seller and let them know what is wrong . By this they will gain a good experienced friend and maybe if seller like the way to work than they may select you to test their upcoming projects free of cost for good reviews .

  • The extreme would be small claims court, but since this is an honest, trusted person I don’t ever forsee that happening.

This really is a tough situation you’re in. I’d probably start by explaining to this person what’s going on in your life/business and why you need this product/service within the next week or whatever. Be gentle and don’t get angry. And don’t blame them. If you can, get them to explain to you why they haven’t given the promised product/service. Find out what’s going on in their life that prevented this. Express your understanding.

Then, balance (with their help & input) both your situations & come up with a plan of when the product/service will be completed. After that date, you may need to get pushy. And start showing proof of your payment, agreement. If they still won’t give you your product/service, I wouldn’t know what to do short of small claims court. That’s a tough spot to be in.
